Little (big) Black Dress dilemma – The tents getting smaller 😀

Little Black Dress

Well last night all the hard work paid off.  Awards doo for some fabulous colleagues making a difference to people’s lives.  Completed 5 days of http://sevenmovement.co.uk/nutrition/ insulin reset plan.  I’ve not been to class for 11 days due to back (now sorted) and family stuff during difficult time with terminal parents.  Back on it tomorrow (can’t wait)…..

Well LBD saga, didn’t have to buy anything – kept this little number I purchased a few years ago and never wore as didn’t fit then either – had wide load stamped all over it and wouldn’t fasten.  Well it bloody did last night and felt wonderful.  Long way to go but totally right direction.  Been off the booze for a few months but let my hair down with a few drinks but the food kept as healthy as I could.  Parsnip soup (spoonful) no bread, grilled chicken and green beans and no dessert.  Stayed with friends in apartment in Manchester with loads of my favourite crisps but refrained.  A little treat didn’t harm and kept on the straight and narrow – burned off some calories dancing (not on the tables though I must be growing up).

Dug out the shoes I had for my 40th, forgot my bra but all wasn’t lost the dress held them from my knees and no-one noticed (or was that the bottle of Rose Moët)…  A fantastic night watching all the nominees and winners truly deserve their place… Lorraine Pascale was the speaker and thought it would be all cupcakes, you know the saying don’t judge a book, well this was one of those times.  She was inspirational sharing her story and loved the quote her mum told her “you can do whatever you put your mind to” well can’t you just….

A night with good friends, amazing women and little (still big but not massive) black dress, eyelashes and red lips 👄 is all the therapy I need…

Until next time…..
